3RD ANNUAL DR. JAY HIT AND RUN GOLF CLASSIC
Hi Runners/Golfers:
Hit and Run Golf is an opportunity to combine the skill of golf with the speed and endurance of running. On June 16th at Lionhead Golf Club, the 3rd Annual Dr. Jay Hit and Run Golf Event takes place with proceeds going to fund pediatric palliative care through the Dr. Jay Pediatric Grief Counseling Program. This program helps dying kids and their families cope with an extremely difficult time in their lives.
Hit and Run is played with 6 clubs only. You run everywhere except the greens and your score is the number of shots you take plus the time in minutes to play. You can play solo or as part of a two man team(Tandem Event). In the Tandem event, you alternate running one hole while your partner drives the cart and then you switch at the next hole and you drive and your partner runs.
The round will be over by 10:15 a.m. where after a shower you can partake in a cold breakfast buffet before heading back to work or wherever. If you haven't had enough golf yet, you can register to play in the regular Dr. Jay Golf Tournament, teeing off at 11 a.m. It is truly a class A event with lunch, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and many prizes and great giveaways to all golfers.
